Many people are trying to gain health and stay in shape but are on a fixed budget. Going to the gym and improving your fitness can be difficult to do when you’re more concerned with saving money. There are many expensive gym memberships, but there are also gyms which cost less, but still have everything you need for fitness. Go online and compare the costs of various gyms in your area. Many gyms offer a one year membership at a discounted rate as a way to attract new clients. You can take advantage of this when these memberships go on sale and save money this way. At the end of the discount you can just go to another gym so you don’t have to pay the full rate. Have a look in local newspapers and magazines and see if there are any coupons with discounts and sale son local gyms so you can get a membership that fits into your budget.

You can improve your health by eating cheap health foods. For example, many vegetables and fruits go on sale all the time. You should by these healthy foods when they go on sale so you don’t pay full price. You can also buy meats this way as they often go on sale too. If you buy extra, you can freeze the unused portions to have as meals at a later time.

We’ve already mentioned running. Running outside is pretty cheap. Although we’d recommend getting good running shoes, otherwise injuries will rake up some extra bills. A pair of decent shoes costs at least $50, don’t try to save on shoes. Save on clothes, fancy GPS logger, etc. but not on shoes. Running is really cheap and one of the healthiest, safest sports out there.
